Hello! My name is Brittany Curran, and you can call me B. I use any/all pronouns. I’ve been practicing yoga since I moved to Milwaukee in 2009. I have a BFA degree in acting and a minor in creative writing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where I worked as a TA for the Peck School of the Art’s Theatre Department for many years. I’ve worked as a professional actor, director, and playwright in the Milwaukee area since graduating from UWM. I love using my theatre background to bring a sense of goofiness and spontaneity to my yoga practice. I earned my 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate through Yoga Six and will soon be 500-hour certified after completing my 300-hour training with Shakti Shack. My thesis for my 300-hour training focused on trauma and the vagus nerve; I am fascinated by the human nervous system and our innate ability to heal. When you take a class with me, you can expect time and space for playfulness and creativity within your own practice. I strive to make yoga and movement accessible to every body, and will always offer several options and modifications. I am also passionate about nature and conservation and love to teach and practice yoga outdoors. Monday 7-8 AM: Monday Morning Movement
This hour-long slow flow practice provides space to wiggle and get the kinks out so that you can ease your way out of the weekend and mobilize for the week ahead. Expect a lot of free space to play with an emphasis on mobility and range of motion.

Thursday 6-7 PM: Fire Flow
This hour-long all-levels practice will actively connect your breath and movement while tapping into your strength and stability. Expect standing and balancing postures with room to modify as you like.

Thursday 7:15-8:15 PM: Low and Slow
This squishy hour-long floor practice is an opportunity to offer restoration to your mind, body, and nervous system. Expect gentle movement, longer holds, support from props, and plenty of space to breathe and rest.
