The Youth Program Coordinator is the seed of discovery for the sport of climbing in the greater Milwaukee area. They bring the joy, foundation, and
passion, to the next generation of climbers through creative group and school programs, engaging class curriculums, and adventurous camp programs. They
share equal time bringing programs to the public and facilitating empowered instructor-staff. Driven by personal integrity, kindness, passion, and a desire
to grow, the Youth Program Coordinator should exemplify the enthusiasm and compassion found in Adventure Rock’s staff and community.
The Youth Program Coordinator facilitates many individuals first steps into the climbing experience. This positions requires full-time dedication and should expect to spend an average of 40 hours per week working in varied locations that coincide with youth program hours. The Youth Program Coordinator should work a variety of mornings, evenings and weekends to get the best picture of what is happening in the facility as well as schedule time to work on program development. You will act as a reliable point person for the youth instructors, seasonal camp staff, ARCT coaches, members, and guests.
Promoting psych for the community of Adventure Rock at all times should drive teachable moments and positive interactions. Expect to be a regular part of assessing staff pay, terminating employment, and being a part of staff reviews. Rock Climbing may be asked of you to retrieve auto belay, hang ropes, or as demonstration for a class or orientation.
Starting pay varies with experience and pays a salary of $40,000 – $50,000. Additional pay commiserate with experience and performance review.
