Yoga with Celeste
Every other Thursday 6pm - 7pmBrookfield
Yoga is more than getting into a pose. It’s a way of living on and off the mat to achieve inner peace. In climbing, you can reap physical and mental benefits through body mind connection of the poses (asana) and breath practice (pranayama). One can also benefit from the meditative aspects of yoga.
When she started yoga in 2013 she thought yoga was all about poses and striving to get into specific poses and that you have to be flexible or inherently good to properly get into a pose. Not until she started to deepen my practice and took her 200HR YTT through Yoga Farm Ithaca when she learned there was so much more to yoga. She will always learn something new from her teachers and through teaching.
In her classes, You can expect sequences to help with climbing movements as well as preparing the mind to get into the body, the breath, and spirit of climbing regardless of what kind of body type you have. She seeks to help others thrive in their relationship to climbing by yoga practice and hope that you feel in harmony with your mind and body.
In her free time she climbs indoors at the Adventure Rock climbing gyms and outdoors, striving to hone her crack climbing skills.”
