Hey friends!

My name is Sarah and I am super stoked to join the Adventure Rock yoga crew. I love teaching creative and active flows to get you out of your head and into your body. When I teach I have two main goals for my students: that you learn your own unique body and what feels good, challenging, relaxing, and strong, and that you have fun and get curious! You are not a robot, so I won't teach you like one. What this means on the mat is everyone gets to choose their challenge from a variety of options in every pose which provides a safe and inclusive environment for students to learn and test their boundaries both physically and mentally. I genuinely believe that this personal agency is what constitutes "advanced" yoga practice and I'm here to help you explore it, regardless of what the physical poses look like. Come play with your comfort zone, from flying through an arm balance, practicing dedicated breathwork, to quietly melting into a long, deep hold.

I have no idea how long I have truly been doing yoga... but I am going on three years as an instructor and have learned so much over my lifetime. I have always been drawn to the practice for the same reason I am drawn to climbing: the physical challenge. And although both activities continue to challenge me every day, now I spend most of my time appreciating them for the sake of the joy, people, and lessons they bring. Life is too short for those kinds of expectations.

When I'm not on the mat, I love climbing, camping, hiking, and drinking local beverages on patios.
